Philosophy of Music
Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
(Psalm 96:1-2, NKJV)
Singing praise to our God is not optional! The scriptures implore us to sing praise to Him, to sing with the spirit, and to sing with understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15). We are also exhorted to sing to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in our hearts to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).
The emphasis of our music is always to draw our hearts and minds to worship our great God.
With praising and worshiping God as our goal, we strive to use music that is worthy of Him – music which has a rich theological text carried along by melodies and arrangements that support that text.
Every Sunday we seek to fill our auditorium with the sound of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that lift our hearts as we worship our great God.
We look forward to the day when we can see our Lord face to face and sing His praises for all eternity!
Congregational Singing
Our music program is centered around the congregation giving praise to God through singing. In 2023, we had published our own collection of hymns – hymns from the past as well as some newer songs.
