Featured Novels for June 2026

A recent and much appreciated donation of the first four novels in the “Newpointe 911” series by Terri Blackstock means we now have the complete series.

I featured the fifth novel, Line of Duty, last month. I feature the other four for June.

#1 – Private Justice. The novel takes place in Newpointe, Louisiana. The wives of the town’s firemen have been murdered and the wife of a third barely escaped an attempt on her life. Allie Branning may be next. Read what happens as her husband tries to protect her.

#2 – Shadow of a Doubt. A personal past, a bitter present … Is Cella a murderer? Or is she a victim? Is her Christian faith a sham, or is she being framed? Which is it?

#3 – Word of Honor. Attorney Jill Clark finds herself with a rifle barrel aimed at her temple and the hostage of a desperate man who claims he had nothing to do with a post office bombing that caused three deaths and a comatose five-year old boy. Is he as guilty as he appears?

#4 – Trial by Fire. Pastor and fireman Nick Foster finds a body in an inferno engulfing his church. But this is no ordinary fire victim. Whoever is behind it all has a twisted agenda.

The synopsis of #5, The Line of Duty, can be found in the May 2026 update (below).

Enjoy this series.

February 2026

There are at least three Greek words in the Bible that are translated as LOVE. AGAPE=Selfless, unconditional God like love. PHILEO/STORGE-Famillial, brotherly, friend like love. EROS-Romantic love. February’s three featured books each reflect one of those words.

In “For the Love of GOD” author Sherrie Holloway walks the reader through Ephesians 2 and I Corinthians 9. Sharing just how amazing GOD’s love is and how we can live because of HIS Agape love.

Phileo love is represented by Kim Vogel Sawyer’s My Heart Remembers. Three orphaned siblings, Mealie and her brother and sister, Mattie and Molly are separated after arriving in Missouri. They have all been put in separate homes and the novel tells of their love and their never ending search for each other.

The Chance by Karen Kingsbury is about Eros love. The is a story about two friends when they exchanged letters then buried them under an ancient oak tree with the plan to return in eleven years to dig them up. Read about what happened to them during those years and when they returned.

January 2026

The three books that are featured for January are all authored by Sidney Watson.

Although the novel Scarlet and Purple – a study of souls and signs – is set in the early 20th century Britain, it could very easily be today’s America.

It is the story of artist Jack Quentin’s spiritual journey as he strives to make his painting of the crucifixion … perfect. He talks about what it really means to be a Christian and the best way to live the Christian life.

The other two novels, In the Twinkling of an Eye and The Mark of the Beast relate to the rapture and the horrors of the tribulation period.

Check out these books and all the other titles that are in the library.
